Adam Arlan
Adam has over 30 years of healthcare experience providing solutions to providers in the areas of Healthcare Information Technology, Capital Equipment, and Advisory Services. Adam has served in a variety of roles focused on IT strategic plans, various service and consulting models, asset acquisition strategies, and performance improvement. He has extensive experience working with hospitals, IDN’s, OEM’s, and GPOs. Adam has worked in several different leadership roles focused on the partnerships with leading health systems in the US.
Adam’s leadership roles included Regional Vice President for Siemens (formerly Shared Medical Systems and now Cerner) their HIT customers in the Northwest Region, USA National Director for Strategic Services Group, and Vice President for Siemens’ USA Strategic Corporate Accounts. Adam worked closely with hospital executives to help drive strategic IT initiatives and performance improvement initiatives across the health system.
Adam received his undergraduate degree from Drexel University in Commerce and Engineering.
Forest Blanton
Since his retirement in September, 2018, Mr. Blanton has served as an independent consultant specializing in Healthcare Technology, Population Health systems, and patient engagement tools.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Blanton served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Memorial Healthcare System. Mr. Blanton oversaw the Information Technology, Clinical Engineering, and Health Information functions at Memorial. Memorial, one of the largest public healthcare systems in the country, has earned numerous awards and serves southern Broward County, Florida. Mr. Blanton worked at Memorial for over 35 years and led the selection and design of numerous clinical and operational systems, as well as many strategic projects.
Mr. Blanton lives with his family in Fort Pierce, Florida and received a Bachelors’ degree in Mathematical Sciences and a Masters’ degree in Operations Research, both from Stanford University. Mr. Blanton earned the following certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional); FACHE (Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives); CMA (Certified Management Accountant); CDP (Certified Data Processor); and CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
In his spare time, Mr. Blanton enjoys fishing, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Kenneth Abramowitz
Kenneth is a Co-Founder and Managing General Partner of NGN Capital. He joined NGN Capital from The Carlyle Group in New York where he was Managing Director from 2001 to 2003, focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the healthcare industry. Beginning July 2003, he transitioned to Senior Advisor at Carlyle in order to devote the time necessary to create a dedicated healthcare fund on behalf of Carlyle. Prior to joining Carlyle, Kenneth worked as an Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. where he covered the medical-supply, hospital-management and HMO industries for 23 years, after which he was an EGS Securities Healthcare Fund Manager. He was voted top hospital supply and/or service analyst on the Institutional Investor Magazine “All-America Research Team” during 14 out of 20 years between 1980-2000 and made “The Team” for both healthcare services and medical supplies for 9 years since 1987. Kenneth has published several notable studies on healthcare service companies, major medical mergers, and cardiovascular device innovation, among others. He has also published numerous articles in leading journals. Kenneth earned a B.A. from Columbia University in 1972 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1976. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of BeneChill, Inc., Valtech Cardio Ltd., Small Bone Innovations, Inc. and Akorn, Inc., and serves as a board observer at OptiScan Biomedical Corp., Cerapedics, Inc., and Spine View, Inc. He previously served as a Director at Sightline Technologies Ltd, acquired by Stryker, Power Medical Interventions, acquired by Covidien, EKOS Corp., acquired by BTG and MultiPlan, acquired by BC Partners and Silver Lake, as well as on the boards of MedPointe and ConnectiCare.
Jeff has over 25 years of healthcare experience focused on strategy, operations, transformation, supply chain, and informatics. He has extensive experience working with hospitals, IDN’s, OEM’s, suppliers, insurance companies, and manufacturers. Jeff has worked as an executive consultant with healthcare organizations and many other clients in a variety of capacities across the country and internationally.
Jeff led both the Virginia/DC and Southeast Regions of Premier, Inc., one of the nation’s largest Healthcare GPO’s as a Region Vice President from November 1999 to July 2015. As the Region VP, he was the orchestrator of the company’s integrated products, solutions and sales for all members in the region and several hospitals in the Caribbean. Jeff successfully led the SE region to over $2+ billion in annual member spend. He partnered directly with hospital executives to help drive strategic change, ensure optimization of supply chain operations, capital equipment decisions and consulting guidance. He helped lead the South Florida Regional Coalition, one of the first regional collaboratives in the GPO.
Prior to joining Premier, Jeff worked as a management consultant for several prestigious international consulting companies, including PwC, Andersen Consulting, McManis Associates and his own independent consultancy, Canterberry Group Consulting. He specialized in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing sectors. Jeff has led numerous large-scale business consulting engagements. He continues to maintain and expand his extensive network of health care colleagues and clients throughout the US.
Jeff received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and earned his Master’s degree in Public Policy Administration from New York University. He served as a Presidential Management Intern in the White House and Defense Department from 1982 to 1984. He is also a graduate of the United States Air Force Management Engineering Officer Program.
Yair has over 25 years of leadership roles as CEO and VP R&D in leading companies in the fields of cyber security, physical security, and computer/network infrastructure. As CEO of BizDevUSA, Yair helped more than 15 software start-up companies penetrate the American market and adapt their products to the demands of the American market, leading many to successful acquisition. As VP R&D at MainControl, Yair led the development of IT asset management and inventory products and relocated the company to the US. During his tenure as VP R&D and CEO of PC-Soft International, PC-Soft was recognized as #1 SCADA in Europe and as a global market leader. As VP R&D in several companies, Yair headed the development of various innovative systems, including multiprocessor real-time military computers, insurance company management software, and the pension fund system for a major bank. As a software development expert, he has given courses on object-oriented software engineering to large aeronautic manufacturers in Europe.
Yair served 6 years of active duty as a software engineering officer in MAMRAM – the IDF’s Center of Computing and Information Systems – and retired with the rank of major from the IDF reserves. He studied programming and software systems design in MAMRAM and computer science in Bar-Ilan University.
Gena has nearly 25 years of experience architecting and building scalable, high-performance, data-driven products. He lead developed a number of cutting-edge software products for the healthcare industry, including laboratory information systems as well as clinical and financial management solutions.
Serving as the Development Manager of ExactCost™ for 12 years, Gena architected and designed the product that not only was a pioneer of industrial ”ABC costing methodology” but was the first web-enabled, multi-tenant product in this category.
Following his time at ExactCost™, Gena continued to develop revolutionary products. He led architecture and development of an automatic Anti-Fraud (Phishing and Trojan) solution with an 88% automated manual procedure for catching, hacking and closing fraudulent sites.
In the financial sector, Gena created and implemented solutions for detecting suspicious activities: Fraud, AML and Trade Surveillance. Some of his notable customers were Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, UBS, Citi Commercial and Netspend. Gena holds a Computer Science degree from Tel Aviv University’s College.
Ilan is a 25-year veteran of the healthcare performance-analysis and decision support software industry, and is a recognized expert on Healthcare Activity Based Costing and Performance-Management Software.With a focus on solving the most complex fiscal management issues throughout the healthcare continuum, Ilan has successfully launched new and innovative software solutions and led high-growth, early-stage technology companies over his career.
As founder and former President and CEO of ExactCost™, a position he held for 10 years, Ilan pioneered the revolutionary cross-over of industrial “ABC costing methodology” to healthcare cost and profit analysis. He envisioned and developed a series of solutions that provide optimal decision support for resource management and contracting margin analysis for healthcare delivery organizations. Following the sale to Flagship Venture Capital, the company changed its name to MedidaMETRICS™ and Ilan assumed responsibility for day-to-day management and executive sales.
Previously, Ilan headed Cybersoft Software Systems™, a developer of clinical and financial management solutions for the healthcare industry, holding several key positions, including Managing Director and Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Casdim Software Systems Ltd™ in Israel. In this capacity, he was responsible for the development of Laboratory Information and Decision Support Systems that have become the benchmark in Israel. International sales included 200 hospitals and mega labs in Switzerland, Austria and Canada which included thousands of end-users.
Ilan served as a Battalion Commander in the Israeli Defense Force, reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering Management and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Tel-Aviv University School of Business.
